I am passionate about service to people who are breaking intergenerational cycles through identity and skill development. My approach is individualized and strengths-based, as it relies on the values and goals of the person in front of me. My goal is to create a space for balancing acceptance and change. I am genuinely curious about my client as a person, not a diagnosis, and that enables me to explore complex, sometimes challenging topics with my clients and in my research outside of sessions. People who have worked with me tend to appreciate my humor, authenticity, and transparency.

My experience includes teaching, supervision, counseling with clients in both residential and outpatient clinics (youth justice/detention, private, university, and community), as well as in homes. I have expertise working with life-transitions, cultural responsivity, and emotion regulation.
