Leticia is a licensed psychologist from the Milwaukee area and is excited to serve her community. She uses an integrative approach that draws from evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness practices, while also helping her patients use their own experiences, strengths, and expertise to achieve their wellness goals. Leticia also has a special interest in insomnia and delivering the most effective treatment for primary insomnia which is known as CBT-I. This is substantiated by peer reviewed medical journals and is more effective than even pharmacotherapy. She strives to use a culturally humble framework to guide her work and create a space where everyone is comfortable being their true self.

Leticia works with individuals with a variety of presenting concerns, including race-based stress, racial and ethnic identity development, insomnia, aging, adjustment, depression, and anxiety. Psychological testing is also available on a limited basis. Leticia is also happy to offer services in Spanish.

Her work experience involves having completed in externship in geropsychology and neuropsychology at the Zablocki V.A. Medical Center. She’s provided psychotherapy in various settings including nursing homes, outpatient, in home, on medical units and in settings integrated with primary care.

In addition, Leticia has multiple publications and is heavily involved in the academic setting where she’s provided various poster and paper presentations. She has particular interest in the Latino population and topics of health disparities and the need for providing a culturally sensitive environment.
