Doctoral Practicum Student
I’m Autumn a mental health provider, educator, and doctoral student. With over 17 years of experience working with a diverse group of adolescents and adults in many different settings and facets, I welcome you to trust me to meet you where you are. The therapeutic relationship is extremely important to me and focusing on my client’s needs is my top priority. As a mental health provider, I provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to identify your strengths and explore your struggles. Our sessions will feel more like conversations than therapy. My use of evidence-based interventions (CBT) is to let my clients identify their negative and unhelpful thoughts while assisting them in recognizing the impact of these thoughts on their lives.
My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, a Master’s in Adult Education with a concentration in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and currently a Doctoral student at the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology (PsyD).
My educational and professional experience in mental health, education, social services, and diversity dialogues has provided me an opportunity to focus on people and the enhancement of their personal and interpersonal health, educational and career opportunities, specifically embracing multiculturalism, inclusivity, and family stability.
I have worked with clients on issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, behavior and family issues, and intellectual and physical disabilities from a variety of socio-economic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. I believe in teamwork and no judgment. I look forward to meeting you and building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship that will assist you on your journey of healing and growth.
