Eric remembers all too vividly what it was like to have depression. He found himself isolating, crying, barely functioning in life, it even physically hurt. He even felt suicidal. Eric recalls trying everything under the sun. Then a psychiatrist suggested deep TMS. Given the quality of life he had, at this point he saw no downside to trying. Throughout his life, he always sensed his depression but it would vary in severity. This was the first time he’s recalled a complete absence of depression. Eric noticed himself becoming more outgoing, assertive, following through with what needed to be done, and regained his professional and social life. Psychiatrists in this day and age are excited to be able to offer a treatment with no systemic side effects as this is a targeted form of treatment. It offers hope for those who had limited success with the treatments they’ve explored so far.
