My Therapeutic Approach
I’ve been lucky enough to do the work that I love for 20+ years. I strive to provide a warm, compassionate and safe therapeutic environment for my clients. I welcome your feedback regarding how you think our therapeutic relationship is going. The therapeutic relationship is very important to me because research shows that it is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in psychotherapy. This is what I want for you.
I use a Client Centered approach which is collaborative. That means we will work as a team to accomplish your therapeutic goals. I believe you have the strength and resources inside of you to resolve and/or cope with your problems. It’s my job to create an empathetic and validating space for you to process the difficult things that have happened in your life and to give you the tools to create the life you deserve.
I use a wide variety of evidence-based practice interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing and Harm Reduction amongst others. We will work as a team to find which approach(es) will work best for you.
In my personal time, I love spending time in nature, exploring the many Wisconsin supper clubs and spending time with family and friends.

Services Offered
I see clients ages 16 and up for individual and family outpatient psychotherapy. During our first appointment, I will be gathering information from you regarding your past, what brought you into therapy, your relationships, your strengths/challenges, your mental and physical health symptoms etc. I will also be working on developing rapport and trust with you. I am open to answering any questions you may have about our time together in therapy. During our second appointment, we will be creating your goals together to help bring direction and focus to your future therapy sessions. After that, we will plan the frequency and times of your appointments.
I do in-person and telehealth sessions Monday-Thursday 9:00-5:30 and Friday 9:00-2:00.
