My Therapeutic Approach to Therapy in Milwaukee
Dr. Khan uses a psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approach to help clients understand and change patterns shaped by earlier life experiences. She works with children and adults, including children on the autism spectrum and their families, and supports concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, chronic pain, and relationship difficulties. Dr. Khan has a special interest in codependency, focusing on empowerment, healthy boundaries, and rebuilding a strong sense of self. Her work is grounded in multicultural, trauma-informed care, with a deep respect for culture, religion, and identity, and a passion for helping individuals integrate multiple identities and heal from complex trauma in a safe, meaningful way.
